Congratulations to Atlanta United for a thrilling victory in the MLS Cup Finals. The “Five Stripes” brought home the first major sports championship to Atlanta since the Braves 1995 World Series Championship in front of an MLS record crowd on Saturday night. Plans for a victory parade on Monday, December 10th have been released, and more details can be found at https://www.ajc.com/sports/atlanta-united-victory-parade-planned-for-monday/7w3gOF8zNaieK717L52E7L/
With the parade route running through downtown to the Mercedes Benz Stadium, most traffic in and around our offices at 400 Galleria Parkway, Suite 1500, Atlanta, GA 30339 should be unaffected. However, anyone traveling in and around downtown should plan to leave a bit early to navigate around the parade traffic.
While Atlanta traffic is always a challenge, this is one that we are happy to have. Many thanks to the entire Atlanta United organization for bringing MLS to life in Atlanta and for showing the rest of the league how to do it right. Best of luck to Josef Martinez, Miguel Almirón and a special shout-out to Greg Garza for helping shut down the Portland attack on defense last night. Greg Garza holds a special place in our heart as a hometown hero at our sister office in Grapevine, Texas which is in Greg’s hometown.
Let the celebration begin and best of luck in the CONCACAF Champions’ League!
